City Planning Ltd Ashley House, Bognor Regis

In August 2016, Arun District Council Planning Committee approved the conversion of Ashley House, a vacant care home, to a 36 bed HMO to be used by Butlins for team accommodation.

As part of the pre-application process, City Planning assisted with organising a community consultation event to discuss the proposals with key stakeholders and neighbouring residents to address any comments and concerns prior to the submission of the planning application.

The conversion will bring back into effective use a redundant building, and the accommodation will be refurbished to a high standard with modern facilities.

The development has been designed to promote sustainable modes of transport. Cycle storage and access to 30 bikes will be provided and there will be a hybrid/electric shuttle bus to transport staff to and from the Butlins campus.
