City Planning has recently obtained two consents for two housing developments in the London Borough of Merton.
In August 2017, planning permission was granted for a large residential house conversion in the West Wimbledon Conservation Area for eight flats. This was achieved through obtaining consent for large extensions to the property in the form of a three storey rear extension and inventive lightwell designs at the side and rear to create two basement flats.
In October 2017, LB Merton's Planning Committee unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for a mixed use riverside wharf development in Earlsfield. The scheme proposed a six storey mixed use development with ground floor office accommodation, 24 residential units, landscaped riverside walkway and financial contribution towards the construction of footbridge across the river. City Planning successfully negotiated the project through the pre-application process, Design Review Panel consultation and public engagement with the local stakeholders.
