This project involved the preparation, co-ordination and submission of a planning application for the redevelopment of a former stone merchants into a four storey mixed-use scheme. The scheme contains retail units at ground floor and 9 self-contained private residential units on the upper floors, together with a communal roof terrace.

The project involved working closely with the Local Planning Authority to develop an appropriate scheme for the site that provided a high quality development, whilst respecting the amenity of nearby residents. A successful case was put forward for retail use on the site despite the site’s out of centre location.

From first instruction, the project took eight months to obtain planning permission by way of committee decision.
