City Planning Ltd 5 Campden Street

City Planning was instructed to obtain planning permission for an additional storey, roof garden and first floor rear extension to the terrace property in the Kensington Conservation Area.

Following the refusal of planning permission, City Planning appealed by way of written representations. In doing so City Planning were able to satisfy the Inspector that the additional storey and roof garden would preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area.

In preparation for the planning appeal, City Planning worked closely with AU Architects and undertook an extensive planning history research to demonstrate how the terrace had historically been developed. The presented arguments were noted by the Planning Inspector in the decision to allow the appeal in June 2017.
