Camberwell Church Street
City Planning were instructed to prepare and co- ordinate a strategy for the change of use of a community use (public library).
Despite an Article 4 Direction being placed on the town centre restricting A2 uses, City Planning were successfully able to argue that such a use contributed positively to the vitality and viability of Camberwell Town Centre. They were also able to argue that the loss of a Community use in this instance was acceptable in Planning Policy terms.
Planning permission was granted in February 2017.
