Kirkfield House, Harrow
City Planning was instructed by SAV Group Ltd to prepare, and co-ordinate a strategy for the redevelopment of the site. This strategy was undertaken in three stages.
For the first stage City Planning successfully obtained prior approval for the change of use of the site from office use to residential use. Prior approval for the scheme was granted in 2015.
The second stage comprised of an application to provide 53 residential flats through obtaining planning permission for a two storey roof extension and façade treatment. Planning permission was granted in 2016.
The third and final stage of the redevelopment development at Kirkfield House, comprised a 33 bed co-living HMO. This was granted at Planning Committee in January 2017.
The project involved working alongside Modulor Studio Architects and the London Borough of Harrow to develop an appropriate scheme for the site. The approval of this scheme will make a valuable contribution to Harrow’s housing targets.
In addition to this, City Planning advised on CIL charges and co-ordinated a team of external consultants who provided advice on transport, and sustainability matters.
